OUR STORY
 On the afternoon of Saturday, August 12, 2017 Dillon and Brittany Washington arrived at the Chandler Regional Hospital in Arizona with joyful expectation of bringing their second child “Kaila Janiece Washington” into the world.  Kaila’s birth was highly anticipated in the Washington Family because she would be the first granddaughter of Bishops Ben & Norma Washington; who up to now had only been blessed with six grandsons.  Unfortunately, after examination they would hear the dreaded words that many parents have had to endure but never should… “we can’t find a heartbeat”.  Our beautiful “Kaila” was stillborn…  

The Washington Family experienced a tragedy that will forever change our lives but have decided to make a way for the loss of our “Kaila” to have a lasting impact in this life!
OUR MISSION

As we journey through the grieving process the Washington Family along with Walk By Faith Empowerment Center (Church) have  established the A FRIEND OF "KAILA" FOUNDATION  with the mission of "TURNING LOSS INTO LOVE" by blessing underprivileged children with all the things we would have done or planned to do with or for our “Kaila”.  We also seek to financially assist other families with unexpected burial expenses as well as spiritual counseling during their time of grief because each of their precious babies are "a friend of Kaila" in heaven.
